Shoreside conversations stop when a pair of rowers stroke into view in a Whitehall Spirit 17 sculling row boat.
Featuring two sliding seat stations and rowing sculls this row boat moves right along. If there’s wave action or a chop on the water, no problem, that’s what Whitehall’s boats were designed to handle. This boat also rows well with a single rower in the aft position.
The sliding seat sculling units can easily be removed in minutes and replaced with the regular bench thwarts for traditional rowing. The hinged silicon bronze outriggers hold the sculls securely in place. and can hinge fully inboard, necessary when landing your row boat at a dock or on a beach; or during transport. They also feature a traditional oarlock position cast into the centre enabling traditional oars to be used as backups or for tighter manouvering in crowded situations.
Sculling oars stow nicely in the bottom of the boat for transportation.
Optional teak floors give the row boat a yacht-like appearance and feature built in traditional footstops. Floors can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.
