Sliding Seat Sculling in a Traditional Row Boat

The 11' 6" Westcoast slide seat-sculling rowboat, built by Whitehall Rowing & Sail, just flies along using 9'6" open water sculls. Safe and stable it easily handles rowing in nasty chop or waves. It rows very well due to the full length tracking keel.

The Westcoast can carry passengers while sculling although the sliding seat unit can be removed in a couple of minutes and a standard bench seat installed converting it to a traditional rowboat capable of carrying up to four persons. It can carry a small outboard motor on the transom and is also available equipped with sailing gear making it an extremely versatile small boat.
