‘Victoria’ at Raid Finland 2006
Those of you who have seen the Raid Finland 2005 DVD saw the Whitehall Spirit 14 ‘Victoria’ sailed by Anne and Bertrand Chazarenc as it waltzed along through wind and waves. Anne and Bertrand returned and again performed well in the 2006 Raid Finland seven day event, which this year was sailed out of Helsinki. They also avoided capsize in this years higher winds (see photos). In a race following the Raid known as the Lovisa Regatta they sailed against the entire local fleet and won. Rowing Up The Thames
Tom Gray, owner of a Whitehall Spirit
17 double slide seat model, sends his short version of a rowing holiday
he took with a good friend of his this May. His goal was to reach the
uppermost head of the Thames River, starting from the salty end. Click Here to read the story and see the photos...
20 Minutes a Day When
Lucy B was told by her doctor that she had diabetes and was carrying
too much weight she looked out her window at the water in front of her
house and thought rowing might be a good way to get more exercise. Her
concern was that she needed a stable slide seat boat capable of
handling her 225 pound weight and possibly carrying a passenger. Read
her comments we received this month after six months rowing her
Whitehall Spirit 14 and now published in the Rowers Forum found on the
Row For Health website. Read more......
Request for feedback. We’d
like to hear from any boat owners out there with either electric motor
or outboard motor experiences. If you have had experience with both,
all the better. We have people asking which models are recommended and
as we love rowing more than motoring we don’t have much experience with
motors on these boats ourselves. We would like to pool your input to
assist other owners if possible.
The New Catalogue It looks a lot like the old catalogue but has
new information on the Whitehall Spirit 17 Expedition model and the
Westcoast slide seat model plus usefull accessories. It is also posted
on the website as a P.D.F. for printing a page or the complete copy. Click here to Download the new Whitehall R&S catalog...
Tell me again. Why do we use teak? Great
news for those of you who already have boats. Your boat has just become
more valuable. Word just came in that the price of teak is going up by
35 percent. The news is also not so bad for those of you who are
planning on purchasing a boat for delivery next year, as we currently
have a stockpile of teak which will enable us to continue offering the boats at the current pricing for the next two months. Order
soon by placing a deposit on the boat at the current prices and we will deliver it any time between now
and June 2007. You will benefit from a saving of at least 12 percent
as this is the minimum increase we will need to make in the 2007 boat
prices. To find out why we use teak click here....
The next truckload departs in early September and we still have room left on board. Stock is available on most models as we have maintained our inventory throughout the summer. Order now to have the boat arrive in your area in time to get in some fall fun on the water or for delivery next spring to make your purchase at current pricing. We're here at 1-800-663-7481 or
001-250-361-2628 to help make your purchase as smooth and pleasurable as possible. |
