Boat Handling & Storage
Boat trailers are the most common way to transport and store a small boat. Trailers are rated for capacity and length required. A trailer is best purchaced locally to meet the areas licencing requirements.
Boat dollys are useful for transporting a boat for short distances to and from launch sites at a beach or lakeshore. When properly fitted to a boat most of the weight is taken up by the wheels. Large low pressure tires enable crossing of sand beaches. They are intended for hand use only and not towed with a vehicle. check out the Seitech Dolly
A set of davits make launching and retrieving easy and convenient whether off the deck of a yacht or a dock. Most crane or davit systems feature power or hand crank winches for hoisting out. Custom lift points can be fitted on a boat if necessary to fit a specific hoisting situation. We can advise owners regarding davits or lifting with cranes.
Storing a boat on a dock is best done using a set of chocks to keep it upright and secure in winds. Fitted chocks are available for each model
A tight boat cover keeps it clean and dry.
Slippery high density plastic on the dock edge makes it easy to launch or haul out with very little effort.
